Wong Kar-Wai is one of my favorite filmmakers and his informal Love Trilogy (comprised of Days of Being Wild, In the Mood for Love, and 2046) depicts romance, longing, and missed connections in ways that no one else can. I imagined a day-long film festival where fans could enjoy his trilogy back-to-back on the big screen.

香港恋爱了, the Chinese phrase featured throughout the festival, directly translates to "Hong Kong is in Love," referring to the way that Wong's birthplace almost becomes a living, breathing character in itself alongside his protagonists as they fall in and out of love.
